GREENWICH, Conn. — The Dartmouth women's golf team stand in third place following Friday's first round of the Ivy League Championship, with the Big Green just three strokes behind leader Yale. The Big Green are shooting 16-over-304, with the Bulldogs at 13-over-301. All six teams are just 10 strokes apart following 18 holes.
"DWG battled the entire round on a tough golf course," said
Alex Kirk, Carolyn A. Pelzel '54a Head Coach of Women's Golf. "We finished strong with three birdies on the 18th hole. We need to stay patient and our chances will come. I am proud of our start and looking forward to tomorrow."
Penn is in second place at 14-over-302. Following Dartmouth is Columbia in fourth (19-over-307), Princeton (20-over-308) and Harvard (23-over-311).

Katherine Sung and sophomore
Sophie Thai are both tied for fourth place at 1-over-73. Senior
Penelope Tir and first-year
Caroline Chung are tied for 18th at 7-over-79 while sophomore
Kim Shen is tied for 22nd at 9-over-81.
The Big Green return to the course on Saturday for the second round of the Ivy League Championship, with tee time set for 9 a.m.
