PISCATAWAY, N.J. — The Dartmouth women's golf team stands in fourth place after Saturday's 36 holes at the Rutgers Invitational. The Big Green are shooting 42-over-610, led by sophomore
Sophie Thai who is tied for fifth at 6-over-148.

"We played well in the morning round," said
Alex Kirk, Carolyn A. Pelzel '54a Head Coach of Women's Golf. "The afternoon temperature never seemed to warm up, and the wind created a challenge on club selection. I think we can redeem with a strong final round tomorrow."

After day one, host Rutgers stands in first at 18-over-586. The Scarlet Knights are followed by UAlbany at 30-over-598 and Georgetown at 36-over-604. Dartmouth is in fourth ahead of Sacred Heart (44-over-612), St. John's (53-over-621), Lehigh (60-over-628), Seton Hall (62-over-630) and Monmouth (76-over-644).

Dartmouth finished the first round in second place, shooting 15-over-299, and second round in fourth, shooting 27-over-311.

Behind Thai was senior
Penelope Tir, who is tied for 17th after 36 holes at 11-over-153. She was followed by senior
Katherine Sung (tied for 21st at 13-over-155) and sophomore Kimberly Shen (tied for 29th at 17-over-159). Sophomore
Hope Hall shot 19-over-161 for the day, which was tied for 35th and included the Big Green's second best second-round score of 6-over-77. First-year
Caroline Chung finished Saturday tied for 46th at 22-over-164.
Dartmouth will return to action on Sunday for the final 18 holes of the Rutgers Invitational, with shotgun start set for 9:30 a.m.
