PISCATAWAY, N.J. — The Dartmouth women's golf finished the weekend on a strong note on Sunday, posting the second-lowest score and finishing the Rutgers Invitational in third place, shooting 51-over-903, which was only one stroke behind second-place UAlbany. Sophomore
Sophie Thai and senior
Penelope Tir finished the invitational tied for ninth overall, shooting 12-over-225.
The host Scarlet Knights won the event, shooting 24-over-876. The Big Green leapfrogged Georgetown on Sunday, who finished the 54 holes at 52-over-904.
Rutgers posted the best Sunday score at 6-over-290, with Dartmouth close behind at 9-over-293.
Individually, Tir had the Big Green's best score on Sunday, shooting 1-over-72. First-year
Caroline Chung came in at 2-over-73, followed by sophomore
Kim Shen and sophomore
Hope Hall each shooting 3-over-74.
Over the 54 holes, Thai and Tir's top 10 finishes were followed by
Katherine Sung at 19-over-232 then Shen at 20-over-233, Hall at 22-over-235 and Chung at 24-over-237.

The Big Green return to action next Saturday and Sunday at the Navy Spring Invitational.
