Big Green Place 12th in First Tournament of Season

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – The Big Green wrapped up their first tournament of the year Tuesday, placing 12th overall at the Golfweek Invitational.
As a team, Dartmouth shot 294 (+12) on the final day of competition, bringing its tournament total to 892 (+40).
Sophie Thai finished the tournament tied for 11th overall. She was even on the course Tuesday, shooting a 71 to bring her tournament total to 212 (-1). Thai finished third overall in the tournament with a 3.96 stroke average on par 4s.
Hope Hall was the next Big Green finisher, jumping eight spots from Monday with her performance. Hall shot a 74 (+3), her best round of the tournament, bringing her three-day total to 224 (+11).
Lauren Pham matched her day two score, posting a 76 (+4) on the final day of competition, finishing her first tournament as a member of the Big Green with a 226 (+13).
Claire Xu wrapped the quartet for the Big Green, jumping ten spots in the standings with a 73 (+2) on her final turn on the course. Xu's tournament total is 230 (+17).
The Big Green finished seventh overall on par 3s, par 4s, and par 5s. The Big Green had an average of 3.13 strokes per hole on par 3s, 4.28 strokes per hole on par 4s, and 5.04 strokes per hole on par 5s.
Dartmouth will have the next two weekends off before returning to the course on September 28 and 29 at the Princeton Invitational.
