Women's Golf Finishes Sixth At Princeton Invite

PRINCETON, N.J.—The Dartmouth women's golf team traveled south this weekend to take part in the Princeton Invitational. Dartmouth finished sixth as a team while three Dartmouth players finished in the top 20.

Hope Hall was the top finisher for the Big Green as she finished tied for 14^th at +8. She opened the tournament by shooting an even 71 in the opening round. In the second round she shot a +3 74 that was highlighted by an eagle on the par five 12^th hole. On Sunday, she turned in a +5 76 to close out the weekend.

Sohpia Li finished T-17 in her second career college start after winning her first start on Sept. 23. She opened the Princeton Invitational with a 72 (+1) with two birdies. In the second round, she shot a +4 75. On Sunday, she used a pair of birdies and 11 pars for a +4 75 in the third round.

Olivia Cong tied with Li in 17^th as she finished +9. She shot a +5 76 in the opening round on Saturday and rebounded with an even 71 with two birdies and 15 pars. Cong shot a +4 75 in the final round of the tournament. It is the second time this season that Cong has finished in the top 20.

Caroline Chung closed out scoring for the Big Green as she finished T-33 at +12. She opened the tournament by shooting a +3 74, in the second round on Saturday she shot a 73 with a pair of birdies. On Sunday she shot a +7 78 to close out the weekend.

Claire Wan finished tied for 44^th in her second career tournament. She posted a +2 73 in the opening round with birdies on 16 and 18. In the second round she carded a +8 79 to wrap up Saturday. She closed out the 54-hole tournament with a +6 77 on Sunday.

Sophie Thai tied for 60^th at +22 on the weekend. She opened play with a +6 77 to start the weekend and shot an 81 in the second round. In the third round, she started with a birdie on five and shot a +6 77.

The Big Green are back in action at the Battle at the Beach hosted by Delaware on Saturday, Oct. 18 and Sunday Oct. 19 at Rehoboth Beach Country Club.
