DANBURY, Conn.—ECAC Hockey announced its weekly awards on Monday morning, for the second straight week the Big Green earned honors. Hayden Stavroff has been named ECAC Forward of the Week while CJ Foley has been named Defender of the Week.
Stavroff scored a pair of goals for the Big Green while adding a pair of assists as Dartmouth defeated both Colgate and No. 17 Cornell. Stavroff opened the weekend with a three point game against Colgate. He scored the first goal of the game to give Dartmouth a 1-0 lead and then tallied assists on the second and fourth Dartmouth goals. On Saturday, he opening the scoring for the Big Green as Dartmouth took down No. 17 Cornell. This season he has eight points, including six goals through four games.
Foley turned in a two point weekend for the Big Green with both points coming against Colgate on Friday night. He earned his first assist on Friday night on the first goal of the game as Dartmouth took a 1-0 lead. He scored the eventual game winning goal while on the power play as he weaved through the Colgate penalty kill for his first goal of the year. On Saturday, he tallied four shots while blocking two shots. Through four games this season Foley has four goals and a +4 rating.
The Big Green are currently 4-0-0 this season and 2-0-0 in ECAC play. Dartmouth hits the road this weekend for a pair of games in the North Country. The Big Green take on St. Lawrence on Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 PM before closing the weekend on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 4 PM against Clarkson.
