HANOVER, N.H.—The Dartmouth men's squash team opened the 2025-26 season with a pair of matches this weekend. The Big Green took on Virginia at Yale in the season opener on Saturday, Nov. 15 before hosting Middlebury in the home opener on Sunday, Nov. 16. The Big Green fell 8-1 to the Cavaliers on Saturday before defeating Middlebury 9-0 on Sunday.
Dartmouth vs Virginia (L, 8-1) (at Yale)
The No. 9 Big Green took on the sixth ranked Virginia to open the season at Yale.
Brandon Wang notched the lone win in the match for the Big Green in the sevens match. He fell 11-5 in the opening game but responded with an 11-2 win in the second game to even the match. He won the third game 11-9 but fell 11-3 in the fourth game to force a fifth game. The fifth game was back and forth with Wang winning 15-13 to take the match.
Shan Jolly fought back from being two games down to force five games in the first position.
Callan Venkatesan won the first game of his fifth position match but fell in five games.

Dartmouth vs Middlebury (W, 9-0)
The Big Green earned its first win of the season in convincing fashion over Middlebury. Dartmouth lost just five games in the match.
Jolly notched his first win of the season in the first position as he won the first game 13-11. After falling 11-9 in the second game, he won the final two games 11-6 and 11-8 for the win.
Sam Boulanger notched his first career win in the second position as he won 11-5, 11-6, and 11-8.
Wei Yan Tho won in three games for his first collegiate win. He won the opening game 11-4 and then took the second game 11-3 before securing the win with an 11-8 third game win.
Arihant Kalamangalan Sunil earned his first win in the fourth position. He dominated the first and third games by winning 11-2 and 11-3, he won the second game 11-6.
Ventatesan played in the fifth spot for the Big Green and needed five games for his first win of 2025-26. He won the first game 11-7 but fell 11-8 and 11-2 in the second and third games. He mounted a comeback and won the fourth and fifth games 11-7 and 11-3.
Felix Fedlman won his sixth position match in three games, 11-4, 11-4, 11-5, in a match that took just 27 minutes.
Wang completed a 2-0 weekend for the Big Green as he won in three games in the seventh position. He won the first game 11-8 and took games two and three 11-4, 11-5.
Rohan Ray played in eighth spot on Sunday and used wins in the first and second games to propel himself to a 3-1 win.
Rana Thakkar was in the ninth position against Middlebury and won in four games. He fell 11-8 in the first game but took the next three games 12-10, 11-9, and 12-10 for the win.
