DANBURY, Conn.—ECAC Hockey announced its weekly awards on Tuesday, Dartmouth defensemen Brock Devlin has been named Rookie of the Week while goalie Emmett Croteau has been named MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week.
Devlin skated in the second game of the Big Green's weekend series against Arizona State. The first-year tallied his first two career points in a 4-1 Dartmouth win. His first career point came on the eventual game winning goal, he fired a pass to Cam MacDonald who redirected home the second Dartmouth goal. He notched his second assist on the third Dartmouth goal as he notched the primary assist as the Big Green took a 3-1 lead. The Mission Viejo, Calif. native finished the game with two assists and a +2 rating.
Croteau earns Goalie of the Week honors after making 19 saves on 20 shots against NCHC foe Arizona State on Sunday. After making five saves in the first period, he made 12 saves in the second period. He closed out the game with eight saves in the third period to secure a 4-1 win for the Big Green. This season he has a 1.14 goals against average and a .953 save percentage both of which lead the country.
No. 9/8 Dartmouth returns to the ice on Friday, Jan. 2 at Princeton before taking on No. 10 Quinnipiac on Saturday, Jan. 3. Both games are slated for 7 PM faceoffs.
