BOCA RATON, Fla. –  The Dartmouth softball team fell in their Opening Day matchups to Purdue and NC State in Day 1 of the Joan Joyce Classic.

Isabel Kirby recorded her first career start in the circle for the Big Green against Purdue.
GAME 1: Purdue 13, Dartmouth 3
Purdue jumped out in front of Dartmouth after they scored five unanswered through the first three innings. The Big Green got on the board in the fourth after
Olivia Schramm got herself on base after hitting a double.
Alaana Panu followed that up with another double, sending Schramm to score.

Purdue scored a single run in the fifth, but the Big Green put up two in the sixth inning thanks to a single from Schramm and another Panu double that drove Schramm in. Panu found her way around the bases after an error put
Cwen Wilson on the bases and brought Panu home.

Purdue put up an explosive seven points in the seventh inning, giving them the 13-3 victory. Schramm and Panu both went 2-3 in the contest.

GAME 2: NC State 3, Dartmouth 0
Marilyn Beauvais knocked a single to center field that put her on first in the third inning, the first hit of the game for the Big Green.
Justice Malone and Wilson both singled in the fourth.

The first three innings went scoreless until a Wolf Pack three-run homer in the fourth inning allowed them to jump ahead 3-0.

Jensin Hall struck out four NC State batters in her 2025 debut on the mound.
