BOCA RATON, Fla. –
Lauren Ben-Ezra recorded two hits on three at bats for the Big Green as they were shutout by Villanova 3-0 on the final day of the Joan Joyce Classic in Boca Raton Sunday morning.

Ben-Ezra recorded her first hit in the third inning when she singled up the middle. Her second hit also went up the middle and she reached first base in the sixth inning.

Villanova scored one run in the second inning and two in the third and that was the only scoring that took place in the contest.

Rachel McCarroll got the start in the circle for the Big Green. She punched out two batters over 2.1 innings pitched.
Isabel Kirby came in to relieve McCarroll and pitched 3.2 innings.

The Big Green are back in action when they travel to Charleston, S.C. to compete in the Low Country Classic starting on Friday, Feb. 21 at 10:00 a.m. versus Ohio.
