HANOVER, N.H. – After a dominant weekend between the pipes, first-year Michaela Hesová has been named the ECAC Hockey Bitcoin Rookie of the Week.
Hesová posted 83 saves over the weekend, posting a .970 save percentage and allowing three goals. She has now tied the program saves record in a single season with 818.
On Friday, she made 36 saves, including double digit saves in the second and third period, to lead the Big Green to a 2-0 shutout victory over No. 7 St. Lawrence. This was the Big Green's first win over a ranked opponent since 2023.
In the regular season finale against Clarkson, Hesová made 47 saves, 18 in the first period and 16 in the second period to keep it a 1-1 game headed into the final period. She also stopped 13 shots in the third period.
The Big Green will now shift their focus to the opening round of the ECAC Hockey playoffs as they head to Yale on Saturday for a 3 p.m. puck drop.
