VIERA, Fla. – In the final round of the Columbia Classic, the Big Green shot +2 as a team to move them up by two spots in the standings, securing third overall for their best finish of the season.
Olivia Cong continued her success from Day 1 of the tournament, shooting a 68 (-4) to finish second overall. She posted four birdies on the final day of competition en route to a tournament score of 213 (-4).
Lauren Pham shot a 73 (+1) in the final round, moving her up ten spots in the individual standings. Pham earned three birdies in the third round to finish 23
rd overall with a +10 on the weekend.
Claire Xu was only one stroke behind, finishing the Columbia Classic with a +11. She shot a 76 (+4) on Sunday, collecting four birdies.

Caroline Chung wrapped the tournament tied, posting a +12 through the three rounds. Xu shot a 73 (+1) with one birdie on the final day of competition, while Chung shot a 78 (+6) with two birdies.
Amanda Adams, who competed as an individual, moved up six spots, shooting a 76 (+4) in the final round.

Alex Kirk credited the whole team in jumping two spots in the overall standings.
"Olivia led us, earning a runner up finish with a 68 (-4) in the final round with ten birdies over the weekend. Alissa and Lauren were very steady in helping us improve two spots today," Kirk said.
While the Big Green will not see tournament action again until the end of March, Kirk said he and the team are grateful to be able to compete in warm weather.
"This was good preparation to get accustomed to Florida conditions, especially ahead of the Ivy League Championship in Naples," Kirk said. "It was a great start to the spring, and we are looking forward to our spring trip in March."
The Big Green will be back on the course for competition on March 28 when they head to South Carolina for the More Than Golf Invitational.
