JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Dartmouth softball team split the second day of the ETSU Invitational as they defeated ETSU and fell to North Dakota.

Jensin Hall recorded seven strikeouts in the team's victory over ETSU while
Rachel McCarroll recorded two against North Dakota.
Anna Marie Fagan added a strikeout as well in the second game of the day.

GAME 1: Dartmouth 10, ETSU 2

ETSU was the first to score, and they took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Dartmouth responded in the bottom of the first with an
Alaana Panu double to left center.
Lauren Ben-Ezra ripped a double down the right field line and drove in Panu.
Faby Serna got up to the plate and singled. A wild pitch advanced both Ben-Ezra and Serna on the bases. A
Justice Malone single sent Ben-Ezra into score, 2-1 Big Green.

In the bottom of the second,
Marilyn Beauvais hit a home run to put the Big Green ahead 3-1. A
Jenna Brown single got her on base, and she was able to steal second. A wild pitch advanced her to third until she was able to score on a sacrifice fly from Panu.

In the bottom of the third, Serna and Oliva Schramm got themselves on base with walks.
Cwen Wilson singled to left field to send Serna home and Schramm to third. Schramm was able to cross home on a passed ball.
Leila Hennessy singled to allow Wilson to score, 7-1 Big Green.

The game went scoreless in the fourth and ETSU was able to get another run on the board in the top of the fifth, 7-2 Big Green. Dartmouth extended the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Wilson and Malone reached home off errors, 9-2.

The top of the sixth saw a one-two-three inning for Dartmouth and in the bottom, Schramm knocked a double followed by a Malone single up the middle allowing to Schramm to score, 10-2 Dartmouth wins.

GAME 2: North Dakota 3, Dartmouth 1

The Fighting Hawks put up one run in the first inning and added another in the second, 2-0 UND. The Big Green responded with a run in the bottom of the second inning after Serna hit a single and crossed the plate on an error later in the inning, 2-1 North Dakota.

The bottom of the sixth inning saw hits from Ben-Ezra, Serna and Wilson but they were left stranded at the end of the inning.

North Dakota added a final run in the top of the seventh to take the 3-1 victory.
