Carolyn A. Pelzel '54a Head Coach of Women's Golf
Alex Kirk said it was a challenging day for his team but overall, is happy with their performance.
"I think we got off to a slow start and were a little tight in the beginning. The wind picked up and we battled hard through the round. It was a good opportunity to learn how to close out a tournament," Kirk said. "I'm pleased with our performance and proud that we had the opportunity to play in a strong field of conference champions at an amazing golf course at Old Barnwell."
The three-day tournament in South Carolina wraps Dartmouth's Spring Trip, "a great blend of training, qualifying, competing and team bonding," Kirk said.
The Big Green will now shift their focus to the final three tournaments of the year, the Rutgers Invitational on April 5 and 6, the Navy Invite on April 12 and 13, and the Ivy League Championships from April 18-20.
"We have the talent and compete, we just need to work on our pre shot process and decision making," Kirk said.
