WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Washington Capitals announced that former Dartmouth goaltender Clay Stevenson '24 has been called up the Capitals.
It is the second time in his career he has been recalled, he did not appear last season in his first career callup. This season with the Hershey Bears of the AHL, in 33 games this season he has a 2.94 goals against average, a .888 save percentage, two shutouts, and a 18-5-5 record.
In his AHL career, he has appeared in 72 regular season games with a 45-18-7 record a 2.44 goals against average and a .907 save percentage. The Port Coquitlam, British Columbia native played in 23 games for the Big Green in 2021-22. He had a .922 save percentage and a 2.78 goals against average. Following the season he signed an NHL Entry Level Contract with the Capitals.
The Capitals have two regular season games remaining with the first being on Tuesday, April 15 against the New Yok Islanders. The Caps take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in the final game of the regular season on Thursday, April 17.
