NAPLES, Fla. – The women's golf team had a dominant day in round two of the Ivy League Championship Saturday, jumping two spots in the standings. The Big Green shot a +1 as a team through the second 18 holes, the second-best team score of the round.

Alex Kirk said after the round. "The wind came early, and we battled all day."
Caroline Chung led the way for the Big Green, shooting a 68 (-4) on round two, bringing her tournament total to a -2 to sit fourth overall in the individual standings. Chung shot a -1 on the front half with one birdie and a -3 on the back half with three birdies, including back-to-back birdies on holes 17 and 18.

Sophie Thai sit 16
th overall for the Big Green with a tournament total +6. Pham shot a 73 (+1) on Saturday with three birdies while Thai posted a 74 (+2), also collecting three birdies.
On the back half, Thai shot a 34 (-2), joining Chung as the only two Big Green golfers to shoot under on at least one half of the course.
Hope Hall is one stroke behind teammates Pham and Thai with a +7. She shot a 74 (+2) in round two, sinking four birdies.
Sitting just outside the top-20 is
Alissa Xu. The sophomore shot a 78 (+6) on Saturday with two birdies, bringing her tournament total to a +8.
Olivia Cong rounds out Big Green golfers. She posted a 76 (+4) on the second 18 holes of the tournament for a +10 through 36 holes.
In addition to the individual success, the Big Green as a team leads in Par 3 and Par 5 scoring. Their 32 total birdies also leads the field.
The Big Green sit only one stroke behind Columbia in third place and two strokes behind Penn in second place. The Princeton Tigers lead the way with a -1.
"We play the back nine first and will try to post another solid round," Kirk said. "We need some help to chase down Princeton, but these are the moments we play for. Let's go!"
The Ivy League Championship will conclude with round three Sunday.
