PARK CITY, UTAH - On Thursday, U.S. Ski and Snowboard announced its 2026 Olympic roster, including three Dartmouth skiers.
Rosie Brennan '11 will compete in her third Olympic Games, while Lauren Jortberg '20 and
John Steel Hagenbuch '25 will both compete in their first Olympics.
The 2026 Olympics mark Brennan's third representing Team USA, as she also competed in 2018 and 2022. Ranked in the top 10 in the world for cross country skiing, Brennan's best Olympic finish was fourth in the sprint. She's started seven total Olympic races.
On the National Team for over a decade, Brennan has tallied over 225 World Cup starts, 12 podiums and two wins, most recently securing a spot on the podium at the Drammen City Sprint in Norway. Additionally, Brennan is the first American to hold the World Cup leader's bib, World Cup sprint leader's bib, and the World Cup distance leader's bib all at the same time.
While at Dartmouth, Brennan won one EISA race, the freestyle at the St. Lawrence Carnival. She was also a two-time NCAA Second Team All-American thanks to sixth and seventh place finishes.
Jortberg will race in her first Olympic Games after a dominant career with the Big Green. As a first-year, Jortberg was ranked the fifth best women's Nordic skier in the easy, landing herself on the podium five times and claiming two overall victories.
As a sophomore, Jortberg earned her second All-East First Team recognition, earning three podiums and placing in the top ten in each of her seven EISA races. She continued to impress as a junior in 2019, once again never finishing outside the top ten on the EISA circuit. She earned three second place finishes, her highest of the season. Jortberg finished in the top three twice as a senior to cap her career with the Big Green.
Outside of EISA races, Jortberg competed in three national championships, earning All-America Second Team three times thanks to a tenth-place classic finish in 2017, an eighth-place freestyle finish in 2018, and a sixth-place classic finish in 2019.
Hagenbuch, who has been dominant on the course in recent years for the Big Green, will also make his first Olympic appearance. After not racing his first-year, Hagenbuch exploded onto the scene as a sophomore. Despite only racing in three EISA carnivals, Hagenbuch finished in the top five in all six races. In his first NCAA Championship appearance, he became the first Dartmouth skier in 52 years to earn All-America First Team honors in both events, taking home second in each race.
As a junior, Hagenbuch won his first individual national championship, taking home the title in the 7.5K classic race. He was also named the USCSCA Men's Nordic National Skier of the Year. During the EISA circuit, Hagenbuch took home three additional wins.
He continued to dominate as a senior, finishing first overall in eight of the ten EISA races he competed in to earn All-East First Team recognition and become the EISA Classic discipline leader. Hagenbuch went on to win his second individual national championship, earning First-Team All-America status in both races. In his lone race of the 2026 season, Hagenbuch, posted a win at the St. Lawrence Carnival.
