Men's Tennis Sweeps Fairfield, Improves To 3-0 On The Season

HANOVER, N.H. –The Dartmouth men's tennis team wrapped another week of home play, improving to 3-0 on the season after defeating Fairfield 7-0 at Boss Tennis Center on Friday.
Calvin Wang and Malhar Patel opened the day with a 6-3 victory. Similarly, Miles Groom and Leo Pade picked up a 6-3 win to close out doubles play. Kornel Halmos added to the win column with a 6-1, 6-2 decision to start singles play. This was followed by Pade's 6-1, 6-1 victory over Fairfield's Stabek, and another straight set win (6-2, 6-2) by Yujiro Onuma. Wang then added to the Big Green's success with a 6-2, 6-4 win.
The match was closed out by 6-3, 6-4 and 6-2, 6-2 victories by Denny Bao and Groom, respectively.
The Big Green continue their home schedule this Saturday, Jan. 31 when hosting a doubleheader against Merrimack at 10 a.m. and Boston University at 4 p.m.
