CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Dartmouth men's tennis team fell 4-0 to No. 47 Harvard on Sunday, with Harvard securing the doubles point and three singles victories to clinch the match.
Harvard took early control by winning at both the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles positions, each by a 6-2 score, to earn the opening point. The third doubles match featuring
Denny Bao and
Kornel Halmos was left unfinished.
In singles, Dartmouth showed competitiveness at the top of the lineup.
Miles Groom captured the first set at No. 1 singles and was leading in the second before the match was halted.
Kornel Halmos and
Leo Pade were also in the middle of competitive matches that went unfinished.
Harvard sealed the overall victory with straight-set wins at Nos. 2, 4, and 5.
Henry Ren was defeated at No. 2, while
Yujiro Onuma and
Adrian Treacy also fell in straight sets, allowing the Crimson to take the four-point win.
