PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Dartmouth women's volleyball took the Brown Bears to five sets on the road but ultimately dropped the match in five sets.
The two sides split the first two sets before the match went the distance. In the end, Brown was able to protect home court to win the second Ivy league game of the season for both teams.
Tonight's game is the second of five straight road games for the Big Green. The road trip and the remaining schedule will all come against Ivy league member institutions.
Riley Imamura finished one kill shy of her career high going for 17 kills this evening. It is the seventh time this season Imamura has finished with double digit kills in a single match. 10 digs were also credited to the sophomore while also having two block assists and one service ace.
Finishing with double digit kills was
Zori Brown and
Maddie LaFata who went for 15 and 13 kills, respectively. Brown has notched double digit kills in all but one match this season continuing her strong play throughout the year. LaFata has gone for at least 10 kills in three of her last four matches.
Brown led the team with 19 digs to set a new career high. Sophia Gangepain recorded 13 digs and 28 assists tying a season high in assists and was followed by
Sloan Balsley who had 10 digs.
Raeli Smith was strong in the service game finishing with two aces.
Clementine Tebbe made her presence known defensively having four block assists.
