HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women's volleyball team swept the University of New Hampshire, 3-0 (27-25, 25-23, 25-21), on Wednesday night, Sept. 23, at Leede Arena.
The win moved Dartmouth to 21-14 all-time against the Wildcats in a series dating to 1989.
The Big Green outhit New Hampshire, .259 to .176, held a 43-38 edge in kills, and served nine aces to the visitors' three. Dartmouth was at its sharpest in the closing stretches of the first two sets.

Dartmouth jumped out to a 7-4 lead in the opener and led 11-8 before New Hampshire scored five straight to go up 13-11. The Big Green answered with a three-point run to retake the lead at 16-15 and later pushed ahead 21-18. New Hampshire saved two set points to force extra points, but back-to-back New Hampshire errors gave Dartmouth the set, 27-25.
The second set followed a similar script. New Hampshire led 20-18 before a LaFata kill, a Balsley ace, and an Imamura kill put Dartmouth in front 21-20. After a tie at 22, Imamura's kill and a LaFata ace gave Dartmouth set point, and Imamura ended it with a kill for a 25-23 win.
Dartmouth took control early in the third set, when back-to-back Balsley aces made it 7-2. After New Hampshire pulled within 8-7, the Big Green scored seven straight points, five of them with Imamura serving, to go up 15-7. That run included two of Imamura's aces. Later, New Hampshire scored six straight points to cut a 22-14 deficit to 22-20. McCreery stopped the run with a kill, and Brown finished the match with one more as the Big Green held on to earn the sweep.
