HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's basketball wrapped its regular season meetings against Yale on Friday night, falling 83-70 to league leading Bulldogs at Leede Arena.
Connor Amundsen led the Big Green's offense with 16 points and two assists, shooting a perfect 4-4 at the free-throw line and 2-2 from beyond the arc. Kareem Thomas, Anton Strelnikov and Jayden Williams each had 11 points on the night, with Thomas going 5-5 in free-throws.
UP NEXT: The Big Green will conclude their three-game homestand by hosting Brown on Saturday for Love At Leede and Senior Day, with tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
First Half:
Yale's Casey Simmons scored first with a free-throw, before Brandon Mitchell-Day gave Dartmouth a lead of 2-1.
The Big Green brought the game within a point of being tied twice before the Bulldogs gained as much as a 12 point lead. Strelnikov put up four points in a minute, while Thomas made three straight free-throws, to bring the score to 38-30 heading into halftime.
Second Half:
Samson Aleton opened second half scoring for the Bulldogs with a layup, followed by a Jackson Munro three-pointer.
Yale had its best scoring run with just under 12 minutes to go, going on a 9-0 run to bring the score to 65-44, its largest lead of the game.
The Big Green had their best scoring run of 8-2 with a little under 10 minutes left in the game. Amundsen was responsible for four of these points, while Strelnikov contributed a layup and Thomas secured a three-pointer. Cam McNamee connected with Cam Hiatt for a three-pointer to close out the game, 83-70.
