HANOVER, N.H. – On Tuesday, the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association announced its weekly alpine awards, recognizing both
Emma Resnick and
Heming Sola.

Resnick secured her first EISA win of her career this past weekend, finishing first in the giant slalom. Her 45.33 first run time was the field's fastest before posting a fourth best 49.42 run two time for a combined 1:34.75, winning the race by just over half a second.

On Saturday, Resnick followed with her second podium of the weekend, claiming third overall on the slalom. She posted the third fastest run 1 time (48.14) before finishing her second run in 49.81. She finished with a combined time of 1:37.95.

Both her first place finish on the giant slalom and third place finish on the slalom were her best finishes of the season in each discipline.

On the men's side, Sola was also dominant, claiming second place finishes in both races. His 43.92 run 1 time on the giant slalom led the field by over half a second, before posting a 47.97 run 2 time to finish with a combined 1:31.89 to claim second overall.

On the slalom, Sola posted the second fastest run 1 time (46.95) before a 48.38 second run time, finishing in 1:35.33, good for second overall.

His second-place finishes in both disciplines were also his best of the season.

Resnick, Sola and the rest of the Big Green will be back in action this weekend at the EISA Championship and NCAA regional, hosted at the Middlebury Carnival. Competition will begin with the 7.5K Classic and slalom on Friday, February 20 and conclude with the 20K freestyle and the giant slalom on Saturday, February 21.
