HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's tennis team swept competition on Sunday at Boss Tennis Center, defeating Le Moyne and Quinnipiac 7-0.
The Big Green opened the day against Quinnipiac, claiming the early advantage by taking two of the three doubles matches. The pairing of Malhar Patel and
Calvin Wang earned a 6-2 victory over Vishal Prakash and Csanad Nyaradi, while
Adrian Treacy and
Kornel Halmos delivered a decisive 6-0 win against Alessandro Sciacca and Prithvi Sudhakar.
Henry Ren opened singles play with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Prakash, while Halmos followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win against Burridge.
Miles Groom added a 6-3, 6-3 result against Hoxha, and Treacy defeated Carl Sjoholm, 6-3, 6-1.
The Big Green closed out the sweep with two more convincing performances. Yujiro Onuma defeated Sciacca, 6-1, 6-2, and
Leo Pade finished the match with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Nyarad.
In the final match against Le Moyne, the Big Green secured the early advantage with wins on two doubles courts. Wang and Patel delivered a strong 6-1 victory over Luke Hoyland and Gabriel Segubiense at No. 2 doubles, while Halmos and Treacy followed with a 6-2 win against Callum Matthew and Lorenzo Bortolaso at No. 3.
Dartmouth continued its momentum in singles play, sweeping all six matches. Halmos earned a hard-fought victory,, rallying past Carlo Zucchini, 6-7, 6-2, 10-6. Groom posted a 6-3, 6-3 win over Callum Matthew, while Treacy defeated Luke Hoyland, 7-5, 6-1.
The Big Green closed out the match with dominant performances across the remaining courts. Pade bested Lorenzo Bortolaso, 6-2, 6-2,
Calvin Wang earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory against Gabriel Segubiense, and Patel completed the sweep with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Yegor Boyev.
