Carolyn A. Pelzel '54a Head Coach of Women's Golf
Alex Kirk was proud of his team, as the Big Green placed five in the top-ten.
"I am proud of the depth of DWG," Kirk said. "
Sophie Thai crushed it to win by 8. And Olivia, Claire, Sophia and Alissa all in top 10 is very strong."
Despite so much success at the top, Kirk said the biggest challenge for his entire team was the weather.
"The River Course at Kingsmill was a good test of golf," Kirk said. "Over the two days, the wind and weather were the biggest challenge. It started out warm, then the temperature dropped forcing us to swing in many layers of clothing."
The Big Green also had four additional golfers on the course.
Hope Hall, competing as an individual, finished 21
st overall, finished with six birdies over the course of the tournament.
Lauren Pham appeared next on the leaderboard, claiming 34
th overall. She finished the tournament with two birdies.
Caroline Chung (41
st) and

The Big Green will now shift their focus to this upcoming weekend, when they continue their season in the Prospect Bay Invitational on Kent Island.
Kirk is excited for his team to get back on the course, noting there is something unique about this year's squad.
"We have a special group this year. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish together," Kirk added.
The Prospect Bay Invitational is set to begin on Saturday, March 29. More information on live scoring and results will be available on DartmouthSports.com.
