PISCATAWAY, N.J.—Dartmouth women's golf closed out the regular season with a third-place finish at the Rutgers Invitational.
Olivia Cong earned a top five finish as she finished fifth at +11 over the 54 holes. She opened the weekend by shooting a +5 76 in the first round while birding the par 5 ninth. In the second round of the day, she carded a 74 with birdies on the first, seventh, and 15th. She closed the weekend out with a second +3 74 on Sunday.
Sophia Li finished just one spot back of Cong as she finished sixth at +14. The opening round was a battle has she earned four birdies and five pars to finish +5. The second round saw her shoot a +6 77 with a pair of birdies. She shot her best round of the weekend on Sunday as she used four birdies to shoot 74.
Clarie Wan turned in the third top 10 finish for the Big Green as she finished +16 over the three-round tournament. In the first round on Saturday, she shot a +3 74 with a pair of birdies. In the second round she shot an 80. The third round saw her finish with a +4 75 with birdies on the fifth and on 18.
Hope Hall tied for 32nd at +24 across the 54 holes, she opened the tournament with an 81 in the first round. In the second round on Saturday, she shot a 79 before shooting a 77 on Sunday in the final round.
Sophie Thai finished tied with Hall in 32nd over the three rounds. She opened with a +5 76 with four birdies on Saturday. In the second round she finished with a +7 78 before carding an 83 in the third round.
Alissa Xu played as an individual at the tournament and finished 41st. She carded a +4 75 in the first round while notched four birdies. She closed the tournament by shooting an 81 in the second round and an 83 in the third round.
The Big Green are back on the course for the Ivy League Championship starting on Friday April 24 at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J.
