OVERPECK, N.J. – Dartmouth's lightweight rowing team began its spring season this past weekend, competing in the National Collegiate Lightweight Invitational and racing against Penn, MIT, Columbia, Gordon, Princeton, and California.

In the morning session, the Big Green first raced to a first-place finish in the F/N4+ race against Columbia and Princeton, posting a time of 8:02.30.

Dartmouth then raced against Penn and MIT. Their 2V boat finished second overall with a time of 6:49.77.

The Big Green wrapped the morning session against Penn and MIT as their 1V boat raced to a third-place finish, posting a time of 6:37.60.

In the afternoon session, Dartmouth opened with a second-place finish in the 4+ grand final. The Big Green raced a 7:36.80 just over a second slower than the Columbia boat.

The Big Green immediately followed with another 2V race, this time taking on Princeton. Dartmouth finished in 6:36.68.

The National Collegiate Lightweight Invitational concluded with the 1V race against the Tigers. The Big Green finished in 6:22.31, just under seven seconds behind Princeton.
