HANOVER, N.H. – Over the weekend, the Dartmouth Big Green competed in two regattas, the Legler Trophy for the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association's Women's Team Race Conference Championship, and the Thompson Team Race.
At the NEISA Championship, the Big Green sailed to a fifth-place finish, posting a 9-7 overall record.
Dartmouth posted a 6-3 record through round one of sailing, collecting wins over Bowdoin, Brown, Coast Guard, Rhode Island, Roger Williams and Yale.
In the Top-8 sailing, the Big Green posted a 3-4 record, defeating Bowdoin and Roger Williams for the second time and avenging a loss to MIT in the first round. Dartmouth's overall record secured fifth-place for the Big Green.
Dartmouth also competed at the Thompson Trophy, going 8-7 overall to secure eighth place.
The Big Green competed in one round of sailing, going just over .500 on the water. They earned wins over Boston College, Coast Guard, Yale, Rhode Island, MIT, Tufts, Bowdoin, and Connecticut College.
The open and women's sailing teams will be back in action this Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, competing in two regattas. The open team will sail in the Coast Guard Alumni Bowl hosted at Brown for the Open Fleet Race New England Conference Championship while the women will compete for the Reed Trophy at the Women's Fleet Race New England Conference Championship. The Big Green will also have representatives at the Mendum's Pond Invite Fleet Race on Sunday, April 19.
