Cornell Takes Baggaley Bowl Over Dartmouth

HANOVER, N.H. - Â On Saturday, the Dartmouth lightweight rowing team hosted Cornell for the 2026 Baggaley Bowl on the Connecticut River. The Big Green and Big Red raced two races, as Dartmouth earned the 2V win and Cornell took home the win in the Varsity 8.

Racing began with the 2V race. The Big Green cruised to the win, defeating the Big Red by 8.25 seconds.

The regatta concluded with the Varsity 8 race, as the winner earned the 2026 Baggaley Bowl. Cornell came away with the victory, finishing just under three seconds faster than the Big Green. Dartmouth posted a time of 5:29.01, behind Cornell's 5:26.35.

The Big Green will be back in action this weekend, hosting the Columbia Lions. This time, Dartmouth and the lions will row at Lake Morey in Fairlee, Vermont. The regatta is set to begin at 9 a.m.
