FAIRLEE, Vt. – On Saturday, the Dartmouth lightweight rowing team welcomed Columbia to the Upper Valley, hosting them on Lake Morey for the Subin Cup.

The Big Green won the Varsity 8 race by over five seconds to win the Subin Cup, Dartmouth's third straight victory over the Lions.

The regatta began with the Varsity Four race, as Columbia earned the victory over the Big Green. Dartmouth crossed the finish line in the race with a time of 6:59.8.

In the 2V race, the Big Green earned their first win of the day, finishing in 5:58.4, 4.8 seconds faster than the Lions.

Dartmouth also earned the win in the 1V race to claim its third straight Subin Cup. The Big Green crossed the finish line with a 5.5 second margin over Columbia, finishing in 5:47.1 to earn the win.

Lightweight rowing will have two weeks off before returning to action at Eastern Sprints, held this year in Worcester, Mass on Sunday, May 17. At last year's regatta, the Big Green earned second place finishes in both the 2V and Varsity Four races.
