GLOUCESTER, Mass. - On Monday, the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced its AHCA/Krampade All-American Scholars, recognizing three members of the Big Green.
Senior
Maura Fiorenza and juniors
Hamilton Doster and
Eleanor Rogers each earned the honor for the Big Green. To be eligible, student athletes must play in 40% of their team's games and post a minimum 3.75 GPA in each semester.
Fiorenza, a neuroscience and classical studies major, played in all 31 games for the Big Green during her senior campaign. She tallied two points, an assist in the Big Green's conference opening upset win over No. 9 Colgate, and another in the regular season finale at RPI, a 5-3 Dartmouth victory. The defender blocked 36 shots, ranking third best on the team.
Doster, a government major, also took the ice in every game this past season for the Big Green, finishing the season with two goals and seven assists for nine points, a career high in Hanover. She scored the game winner in the 3-0 victory over No. 9 Clarkson, breaking the scoreless tie in the third period. Doster also added points against Holy Cross, RPI twice, Vermont, Colgate, and St. Michael's recording a goal and an assist.
Finally, psychology major Rogers played in two games between the posts this season. She made two saves in just under a period of play vs. Saint Michael's inside Thompson Arena, and played the final 7:53 of the ECAC Hockey Opening Round playoff matchup at Brown.
This is Fiorenza and Doster's second AHCA/Krampade All-American Scholar honor while Rogers picks up her first.
