PRINCETON, N.J. –
Hudson Kohler was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, while
Eidur Baldvinsson was named to the Honor Roll.
Dartmouth men's soccer beat its second nationally ranked team in as many games this past Saturday, downing No. 18 Princeton at home, 1-0, in front of over 1,000 fans.
Kohler anchored a defensive effort that kept the Princeton Tigers off the scoreboard for the entire 90 minutes, stifling many goal-scoring opportunities. The sophomore standout was fantastic all game long and contributed on the offensive end. In the 84th minute of play, Kohler played a through ball that found a streaking Baldvinsson, resulting in the game-winning goal for the Big Green.
In back-to-back games this season, Baldvinsson has scored the game-winning goal against nationally ranked Vermont and Princeton. Princeton had not allowed a goal in Ivy League regular-season play since the 2024 season. The junior striker has scored three goals this season, placing him in a tie for third in the Ivy League.
Kohler became the first Dartmouth men's soccer player to be named Defensive Player of the Week since October 2023.
Dartmouth's second-to-last non-conference game of the season is set for Sept. 29, on the road at the University of New Hampshire. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
