Senior (2016-17): Named Commodore for the season … rowed in the one seat of the second varsity boat that defeated MIT at the Biglin Bowl (6:50.5) … stroked the third varsity boat at the Eastern Sprints Regatta, helped his boat take second place in the Petite Final (6:01.72) … received the team's Louis C. Breer Memorial Bowl award.

Junior (2015-16): Against Mercyhurst, he rowed in the eight seat of the second varsity (5:56.4) … was the two seat in the second varsity that placed third in the Petite Final of the Eastern Sprints Regatta (6:12.04).

Sophomore (2014-15): Sat in the eight seat of the third varsity that finished ahead of MIT at the Biglin Bowl (7:38.30) … at the Eastern Sprints Regatta, he was the bow of the second varsity 8 that was second in the Petite Final (6:04.828).

Q&A with Cortland Weatherley-White

Why Dartmouth?
I chose Dartmouth because it seemed like the most fun place to learn and study. Being so close to so many great ski-mountains also helped!

How long have you been rowing and what interested you about rowing?
I having been rowing since the spring of 10th grade. After one season, I found it to be the most intensely competitive sport I had ever played. I was hooked for life.

What is something about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates?
Most of my teammates don’t know this, but my main sport in high school was squash. I only decided to switch to rowing in college when I realized Dartmouth had such a strong lightweight program.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus?
I am involved with the College Republicans and I blog for Dartmouth Direct.

What are your future plans, if any?

I plan to love what I do, do what I love, and show off my Big Green gear wherever I go!
