Competed in four carnivals... Best freestyle finish was 16th at the Middlebury Sprint... Best classic finish was seventh in the St. Michael's 3x5 Relay... Added 17th in the Bates Sprint for best individual classic finish.
FIRST-YEAR (2024)
Advanced to the quarterfinals in the classic sprint in his first competition ... Finished ninth overall in the freestyle sprint at the Dartmouth Carnival ... Earned a top-ten finish in the 15k relay at the Williams Carnival.
HIGH SCHOOL
Helped his high school Nordic ski team to four Alaska state titles in his four years, as well as a state title in cross country running as a sophomore … earned All-America honors at the 2023 US Junior National Championships in the free sprint and 7.5K classic … All-American in classic sprint and 10K classic the prior year as well … Alaska State Skimeister as a junior and senior … all-state cross country runner as a sophomore and junior, finishing in the top seven both years … third in the state in Nordic skiing as a sophomore, sixth as a freshman.

Full name is Aaron Lars Competente Power … born on Sept. 2, 2004 in Anchorage, Alaska … son of John and Laarni Power has one brother, Joel, who skis at Montana State … father was a cross country runner at Montana, and grandfather Allan played football at Penn in the late ’40s and early ’50s … also has an uncle who swam at Cal Tech and a cousin, Michael Harrison, who is a tight end at Colorado … enjoys mountain running, backpacking, camping and playing the piano … competed in the Special Olympics USA Games with his high school’s Partners Club, winning gold in the 4x100m Unified Relay and silver in the Unified Long Jump.
