Jen Pittman was second on the Big Green with 38 goals, fourth in points with 43, and among the team leaders in ground balls. She led the squad with 110 shots and won 76 of 106 faceoffs. She drilled five goals against both James Madison and Stanford and had seven goals in the two contests against Princeton. Her goal against Northwestern gave Dartmouth a 3-2 lead at halftime of the national championship game. She began the 2005 season in a quiet fashion and then exploded in the second half of the year with 22 goals and three assists for 25 points, sixth best on the team. Her four-goal effort against Princeton pushed Dartmouth to a 12-9 victory and the Ivy title. She followed that impressive outing up with another four-goal game against Boston College. Pittman potted two goals in the 9-8 victory over Syracuse in a first-round NCAA game. Although she started two of 18 contests, she was effective coming off the bench. As a sophomore, she saw time in nine games. One of the strongest team members in the weight room, Jen uses her strength on the field to her advantage. A four-sport varsity athlete in prep school, she earned 12 letters and served as captain of the lacrosse and field hockey teams. She helped lead Convent of the Sacred Heart to the 2003 FAA tournament championship as a midfielder. She was voted all-league three straight years in both lacrosse and field hockey.Jen is majoring in sociology and minoring in history.
