Why Dartmouth?
I’m from Maine and knew that I wanted to stay in New England. I loved the location of Dartmouth because it reminded me of home, and when I visited during dimensions the upperclassmen were so enthusiastic and welcoming.
How long have you been riding and what got you interested in riding?
I had never ridden before Dartmouth! I inquired about the equestrian PE program Dartmouth used to have and was encouraged to email our coach about walking onto the team as a walk trot rider. I got lessons throughout my sophomore summer and made the team during fall tryouts.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I cook every single day - I live at the Sustainable Living Center because my meal plan goes for groceries!
What activities are you involved in outside of the equestrian team?
I intern at the Hanover Veterinary Clinic, volunteer for Medlife, and go to the organic farm and Dartmouth Beekeeping as much as I can.
What are your future plans?
I hope to go to veterinary school after Dartmouth and practice small animal/equine medicine in Maine.
