2005: Crane played in four games during her sophomore season. She played at Brown and at Yale before making her Scully-Fahey debut against Columbia. She capped off her season with an appearance at Syracuse. 2004: A preseason addition as a walk-on, Crane appeared in two games during her freshman campaign for the Big Green. She played during road games at New Hampshire and Cornell.
Before Dartmouth: Crane split time between JV and varsity as an underclassman at Cape Elizabeth High School before playing her final two years on varsity. As a freshman, she helped her team to a 17-3 mark, and she earned the team's coaches award. That year, Cape Elizabeth was the Western Maine champion and runner-up for the state title. Crane served as captain her senior year and led the squad in assists.
