Braxton Chapman enters his first season on staff for the 2024 season after being announced as running backs coach in February of 2023.
Chapman came to Dartmouth from Coastal Carolina University, where he served as a graduate assistant working with both the running backs and special teams. In just under a year, Chapman also assisted with evaluating recruit prospects, all while earning his Master's of Education.
Â
Prior to Coastal Carolina, Chapman worked with the running backs and special teams at Northern Illinois University as a quality control coach. In this role, Chapman created the playbook, assisted with recruiting and official visits as well as serving as the academic advisor and coordinator for high academic risk running backs.
Â
Chapman played college football at both Youngstown State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree, as well as Northern Illinois University. Between both schools, Chapman won a MAC Championship as well as served as team captain and one of the football representatives for Youngstown State's student Athlete Advisory Committee.

"I'm super excited for the opportunity to join the Dartmouth football family," Chapman said. "Dartmouth is known for winning championships and providing a world-class education that is second to none, and I look forward to doing everything that I can to develop the young men in our program and bring another championship to The Woods."
