Dan Nichol joined the Dartmouth staff in July 2006 as the Big Green’s assistant strength and conditioning coach. He is responsible for the women’s lacrosse team’s strength, conditioning and nutrition programs. From January 2005 until his appointment at Dartmouth, Nichol worked as an assistant strength coach/personal trainer at Poliquin Performance Center East in Wilmington, Mass. Prior to that he was the head strength and conditioning coach and equipment manager for the University of Tennessee-Martin football program during the 2005 season. Nichol earned his B.S. degree in applied exercise science from Springfield College in 2002. From 2003-05, he was a graduate associate at Springfield while working toward his M.Ed. in strength and conditioning. During the summer of 2004, Nichol was a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Connecticut. A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Nichol was a defensive tackle at Springfield from 1998-2001.
