HANOVER, N.H. — Alex McFadden, the Josie Harper Head Coach of Women's Lacrosse, has announced the addition of Shea Dolce as an assistant coach for the Big Green women's lacrosse program.
Dolce joins Dartmouth after a standout career at Boston College, where she helped lead the Eagles to an NCAA Championship appearance and a national title while establishing herself as one of the nation's top players.
"We are thrilled to welcome Shea to the Dartmouth Women's Lacrosse family. Shea is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and her accomplishments as a player speak for themselves. She brings a championship mindset, an elite work ethic, and a wealth of experience that will have an immediate impact on our program," McFadden said. "Shea embodies the values that define Dartmouth Lacrosse, and we are excited to welcome her to Hanover following her competition with Team USA at the World Cup this summer in Japan."
A two-time IWLCA National Goalie of the Year, Dolce became the first goalkeeper in Boston College history to earn the honor in back-to-back seasons after receiving the award in 2024 and 2025. She also earned ACC Freshman of the Year honors, was named ACC Tournament MVP, garnered Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse All-America recognition, and was selected to the ACC All-Tournament Team twice.
Dolce helped guide the Eagles to the 2024 NCAA National Championship after leading Boston College to the national title game during her freshman season in 2023. She was elected team captain for her senior campaign and was selected to wear Boston College's prestigious No. 19 jersey, an honor recognizing the student-athlete who best exemplifies the legacy of Welles Crowther through leadership, courage, character and commitment to team culture.
Additionally, Dolce was selected as the No. 2 overall pick in the inaugural Women's Lacrosse League draft. She made history as the first goalie to be selected off the board.
On the international stage, Dolce has represented the United States at multiple levels. She helped Team USA capture the gold medal at the 2024 World Lacrosse Championship in Hong Kong before earning another gold medal with the U.S. Senior Sixes National Team in 2025. She also has trained with the U.S. Senior Field National Team ahead of the 2026 World Lacrosse Championship in Tokyo.
In addition to her playing accomplishments, Dolce founded SD88 Goalie Training, a nationwide lacrosse goalie training company that provides clinics, private instruction and virtual coaching. She has managed all aspects of the business, including player development, marketing, scheduling and client relations, while building a growing national brand.
Dolce also gained professional experience through internships with Trumid and ZIYNX, where she worked in human resources and athlete-focused marketing initiatives.
A native of Connecticut, Dolce earned her bachelor's degree in management with a concentration in marketing from Boston College's Carroll School of Management.
"I'm beyond excited and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join Dartmouth Women's Lacrosse. It's an honor to learn from one of the best,
Alex McFadden, and to contribute to the continued growth and success of such an incredible program. I can't wait to get to Hanover and get started!" Dolce said.
