PRINCETON, N.J.—Dartmouth women's lacrosse closed the 2026 season on Saturday on the road against No. 24 Princeton. The Big Green fell 17-7 to the Tigers.
The first quarter saw a combined five goals as Princeton opened the scoring at the 11:43 mark. The Big Green quickly responded as Samantha Bennett scored her 19th goal of the season and the 48th of her career in her final game as a member of the Big Green. Neither team scored for over six minutes until Princeton scored three times in the final 4:09 of the quarter to take a 4-1 lead to the second quarter.
The Tigers scored the first three goals of the second quarter until Etta Coburn scored her first of two goals on the day at the 11:38 mark. Princeton scored at the 7:47 and 4:09 marks to take a 9-2 lead to the halftime break.
Madeline Egan opened the second half with Dartmouth's third goal at the 12:05 mark before Princeton scored five straight goals. As time expired in the third quarter, Fiona O'Keeffe scored a no-look goal for her 29th goal of the season.
Both teams scored three times in the fourth quarter. Princeton scored the first goal but Lauren Riley scored at the 8:17 mark. After Princeton answered at the 6:03 mark, Catherine Erb and Coburn scored at the 2:42 and 1:03 marks. With 31 seconds left, Princeton closed out the scoring.
Ruby Lucken started in net for Dartmouth and made eight saves in 40 minutes. She ends her first-year season with 84 saves. Jordan Healy played the final 20 minutes and made one save.
Both Coburn and Bennett had two points while six players tallied a point.
Lucken was credited with two caused turnovers while Ellie Burdick, Caroline Haggerty, Emma Goodwin, and Mia Puccio each caused a turnover.
Maya Kendall collected seven draw controls and finished the season with 168 which is the second most in a single season by an Ivy League player. Kendall set the record with 188 in 2025. She closed her career as the best draw control player in Ivy League history as she collected 461 in her four year career.
Egan finished the season with 57 points to lead Dartmouth while also having a team best 32 goals. Egan, F. O'Keeffe, Erb, and Charolotte Myers each finished the season with 20 or more goals.
The Big Green close out 2026 with an 8-7 overall record, it is the second straight winning season for Dartmouth.
