Senior (2016-17): Captain…Competed in 10 matches in the No. 6 position as well as three at the No. 3 position…Won seven matches, finishing the season on a four-match win streak…. Defeated his Princeton opponent in straight games in the Hoehn Cup finals.
Junior (2015-16): Won nine of 16 matches played…Competed out of three positions…Went 5-5 in Ivy League play…Won his first four matches of the season.
Sophomore (2014-15): Competed in the No. 1 position and went 0-6, as a sophomore.
Freshman (2013-14): Competed at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions... Both of his wins on the year came in Ivy League play... In his second career Ancient Eight match, Harrington scored a four-set win at No. 1 versus Penn... In the final road match of the year, he earned a come-from-behind four-set win at No. 2 against Brown.
Before Dartmouth: Nicholas Harrington attended Moses Brown School freshman and sophomore year and Belmont Hill School for junior and senior years…played varsity soccer and varsity track and field, along with 4 years of varsity squash…during his junior season he was a New England Champion, won the Jackson Tournament, won the Brandes Trophy, which is awarded to the player with the best regular season record in the NEPSAC, and won the Sportsmanship award at Belmont Hill…during his senior season he repeated as a New England champion and Sportsmanship award winner while playing his way to a #7 ranking in the US's U19 division...won the 2013 Massachusetts sportsmanship award.
Personal: Harrington is the son of Robert and Lisa and has one brother and two sisters. His sister Kyla played squash at Brown and his father played baseball at Brown. He plans to study economics and pursue a career in business.
