Amanda Kulas joined the Big Green track and field program in November of 2024.
Kulas enters her second season with the Big Green in 2025-26.
“We’re excited to announce that Coach Amanda Kulas will be joining the Big Green Track & Field coaching staff as our new jumps/pole vault coach. Coach Kulas came highly recommended from multiple people in the coaching industry. She has coached NCAA qualifiers and school record holders across a wide array of events. She is well acquainted with the landscape of collegiate track & field in the New England area having competed in Connecticut and coached in Massachusetts and Maine. Also, her time at Bowdoin has prepared her well for the recruiting efforts needed of academically oriented student-athletes. Coach Kulas is well prepared for a successful coaching tenure at Dartmouth College. Go Big Green,” said Marjorie & Herbert Chase '30 Director of Dartmouth Track & Field and Cross Country, Mike Nelson.
Prior to Dartmouth, Kulas was on the Bowdoin track & field coaching staff since the summer of 2021. Before that, Kulas spent time at Springfield College, where she spent three seasons as an assistant coach for the Pride track & field programs. Prior to that, Kulas was part of the first-ever coaching staff for the Elms track & field team, coaching an All-American athlete her inaugural season.
In her time as a track and field coach, Kulas has coached many decorated athletes. She has coached NCAA qualifiers in women’s pole vault and heptathlon, a school record holder in the 200m, two top three New England Division III men’s triple jumps, two New England Champions, a women’s vault Conference Champion, NCAA women’s pole vault qualifier and multiple All-Americans including high jump, women’s vault and long jump.
A native of Windsor Locks, Conn., Kulas graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a degree in Exercise Science in 2016 and gained a Master’s Degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Advanced Level Coaching from Springfield. She holds USATF Level 1 Certification, is Pole Vault Certified and graduated from the NCAA Women's Coaching Academy, Class #49. While at Springfield, Kulas was also active in the campus community, speaking at symposiums on Diversity in Higher Education as well as Diversity & Inclusion in Women's Sports.
