Before Dartmouth
Ryan attended Montgomery High School...Was a member of the indoor and outdoor track & field teams in addition to the football team... served as a two-year captain for both track teams as a junior and senior, while assuming the leadership role for the football team as a senior... Was a part of teams that won three straight Somerset County Championships and one Skyland Conference title in track... Both a county and conference champion in the triple jump, winning the event at both levels two years in a row... Also claimed league and county titles in the 55m... In 2018, he was the sectional champion in the long jump, while claiming third place at the state meet... He graduated as the school record holder in the 55m, triple jump and the triple jump... Named the track team's MVP as both a junior and senior... Tabbed as the Montgomery Sports Person of the Year as a senior for his play in football and his performance on the track.

Ryan is the son of John and Cecile Cashman...He has three sisters, all of whom are state champions and record holders in gymnastics...The first in his family to attend Dartmouth.
