Dr. Timothy Beaver received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He then completed training in internal medicine, cardiology at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He is currently the Associate Director of the Echocardiography at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. His active research interests include pre-participation screening / sudden death prevention, cardiovascular imaging, new echo technologies and valvular heart disease. Dr. Beaver is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of additional professional societies including the American Heart Association, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the American College of Sports Medicine. When he is not watching his children play hockey, lacrosse, soccer and basketball, he is an avid runner, cyclist and enjoys strength training.
