Q&A with Yondon Fu

Why Dartmouth?
Having gone to high school in a big city, I knew I wanted a change of scenery. With the rest of my life to live in bustling urban environments, I saw Dartmouth as a perfect place to switch things up. The beautiful campus and sense of community and tradition made it seem like an awesome way to spend the next 4 years.

How long have you been rowing and what interested you about rowing?

I rowed for awhile in high school, and I wanted to try it on a collegiate level. I enjoy the team aspect of the sport and that your results are dependent on the amount of work you are willing to put in.

What is something about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates?

I played the tenor sax in high school.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus?

I’m a member of Hacker Club and would like to become more involved with the entrepreneurial society in the future.

What are your future plans, if any?

I’d like to work in the tech industry and eventually start something of my own. More importantly, I want to be building things and doing something that I enjoy and am passionate about.
