Why Dartmouth?
I chose Dartmouth because of the great academics and academic environment. I also liked the D-Plan and the flexibility it provides. The welcoming feel of the campus is awesome, and the school spirit is unmatched. There are also many resources available for outdoor activities in the surrounding natural environment.
How long have you been sailing and what got you interested in sailing?
I have been sailing since I was very young, but started racing when I was 8. My Dad got me interested in the sport early, and I have been doing it ever since.
What Sailing or Academic achievements are you particularly proud of?
Academics wise, I was inducted into the National Honors Society in high school. In sailing, I placed 4th at the Bemis Trophy, 4th at Youth Champs, and 2nd at the Orange Bowl.
Tell us something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I have 4 animals of varying color.
What are your future sailing and career plans?
I plan to continue racing competitively through college and after. My career plans are still tentative.
What sports or activities did you pursue in high school, and what do you hope to continue at Dartmouth?
I sailed on the varsity sailing team for 4 years in high school and also did the school musical all 4 years. I was involved in the Spanish club and French club of my high school as well. I hope to continue sailing at Dartmouth, and also hope to continue theater in the winter.
