Kendra Foley was named head coach of women's cross country and assistant coach for distance and mid-distance with track & field in August of 2021.
For three seasons, Foley was an assistant women’s coach at Notre Dame (2018-21), coaching the mid-distance and distance team and recruiting prospective student-athletes. During her time there, Foley helped develop 10 NCAA Outdoor Championship finalists, assisted in an eighth-place team finish at the NCAA Cross Country Championship in 2018, a 14th-place finish in 2019 and 15th at the NCAA Indoor Championship in 2021. She also guided six student-athletes to All-American finishes and coached 25 All-ACC performances.

Prior to arriving in Indiana, Foley was a volunteer assistant at her alma mater, Grand Valley State (2017-18), where she planned and led campus official visits, marketed the cross country camps and assisted with practices.

Foley graduated from Grand Valley State in 2017 with a degree in sport management and communication. She was a Division II Scholar-Athlete of the Year twice (2015, 2016) and was a two-time NCAA Cross Country individual champion, a two-time NCAA Outdoor Track & Field runner-up, an NCAA Outdoor Track & Field champion and a 17-time All-American. After graduation, Foley continued to train and was a 2020 Olympic Trials Marathon qualifier.
