Wikander joins the Big Green after a standout playing career at the University of Denver, where she graduated with degrees in psychology, kinesiology, and sport studies.
She was ranked 79th nationally in Division I singles, won the 2025 ITA Mountain Regionals, and was named ITA Mountain Region Senior Player of the Year after qualifying for the NCAA Singles Championship. She also received the Cissie Leary Sportsmanship Award and a sportsmanship award from the Air Force Academy, and she helped Denver capture four consecutive Summit League Championships.
“Louise comes highly recommended. She is coming off an outstanding collegiate career at the University of Denver, where she qualified for the NCAA Singles Championship in her senior year and led Denver to four straight Summit League titles,” said Bob Dallis, the Marge & Ron Boss ’61 Family Head Coach of Women's Tennis. “She has a lot to offer Dartmouth and the team and will help our players take their tennis to the next level. We're excited to welcome her to the Big Green!”
At Denver, Wikander served as a primary liaison between players and coaching staff, communicating team needs and supporting younger athletes with performance routines and match preparation.
Wikander's coaching background includes seasonal work with Wilson Tennis Camps in Denver and three years as a private tennis coach in Helsingborg, Sweden, where she tailored instruction to individual players' technique, footwork, and mental approach.
“I am incredibly excited to join the Big Green and have the opportunity to coach the women's tennis team. I'm looking forward to working with the players, supporting their development, and becoming part of the Dartmouth community,” said Wikander.
She has also completed a physical therapy internship at Panorama Orthopedics, gaining hands-on experience in injury prevention, mobility, and return-to-play protocols that she plans to draw on in her new role.
