Mitch Golden joined the Dartmouth Athletics department as a compliance coordinator in the summer of 2024.
Golden completed his Juris Doctor from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law in May of 2024, concentrating in sports and entertainment law. He received his undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern in 2020 where he was a four-year varsity baseball player.
Golden began his work in compliance in 2022 when he completed an internship in the University of Richmond's Athletic Compliance Office. He provided insight on NIL regulations, recruitment, and academic and athletic eligibility to administration, coaches and student-athletes.
The following summer, Golden worked in the Cheshire County Superior Court as a law clerk before serving as a sports management intern at ICON that fall, representing both Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball players. He once again researched NIL deals while also prepared for client arbitration deals.
Golden returned to the college compliance setting, serving as an Athletic Compliance Office Intern at UMass Lowell. Before finishing his Juris Doctor at UNH, Golden worked as an Operations Assistant Intern for the Pittsburgh Pirates, then making his way to Hanover.
Golden is originally from Marietta, Georgia and earned multiple athletic and academic achievements while a collegiate baseball player at Georgia Southern. Golden is a member of the Minnesota Bar. He is also fluent in Spanish.
